Basalt Tapes

Basalt, an igneous rock with origins to molten lava, is spun into fibers and assembled as yarns that are expertly woven into Armor™ PRO Basalt Fiber Tape. These tapes take advantage of the strength, flexibility, and excellent thermal properties inherent to Basalt fibers for uses in various insulation and high-temperature applications.

Engineered to your application, Armor™ PRO Basalt Tape is made from continuous filament volcanic rock fiber (basalt) for 1200ºF thermal protection. Applications: Aramid, fiberglass, and carbon fiber replacement, laminates, motorsport and industrial end uses.

From molten magma to premium textile constructions, basalt fibers have reached the quality and performance unlike any other fiber in its class. A distinctive look, strength, durability only such chemical composition of the earth basalt rock can deliver.
