Vermiculite Coated Fiberglass Tape

Industrial quality tapes are carefully woven and sized using fiberglass yarns. The tapes are then specially treated with vermiculite coating for high temperature. Applications include lagging cloth of all types, pipe insulation wrap, electrical insulation, thermal insulation and gasketing.

General Specifications

● Will not burn, smolder, or support flame.
● Retains 50% tensile strength at 700 deg.F.
● Does not stretch or shrink and remains stable.
● Highest strength to weight ratio of industrial textiles.
● High dielectric strength and low constants.
● Highly resistant to most chemicals and solvents.
● Fine glass filaments allow great flexibility.
● Holes do not form at 2000°F flame exposure.

Vermiculite Coating Specifications
● Low thermal conductivity.

● Will not shrink or stretch.
● High strength-to-weight ratio.
● High dielectric strength/low constants.
● Resistant to most chemicals.
● Excellent flexibility up to 1,500°F.

PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) Adhesive one-side with peel-back paper for ease of deployment. Temperature restrictions apply.
Bolt-Hole (Drop Warp) Open center to save bolt-punching time for flange sealing applications.
Wire Inserted Adds strength, stability, and thermal dissipation.
Coated Increases resistance to abrasion, fluids, chemicals, and heat.
Heat Cleaned Cleaning process to remove impurities. Decreases smoke emission and improved dimensional stability.
